I'm trying to remember the title of a movie, it scared the heck out me when I was a kid, I remember it started with a woman coming home to find her cat chewing on a finger. Is that 'Cat From Hell'?

No, sorry. I can't quite remember the first scene from the Cat from Hell, but I believe it is one introducing Buster Poindexter. There is no finger chewing scene.

It might be Idle Hands. There's a cat chewing a finger in that.

I don't remember exactly, but you could be referring to "Cat's Eye" which was another compilation type movie.
