Elite Vs. Special Edition
I did a little checking online and I'm assuming the special edtion has roughly the same features as the Elite version but is presented in a widescreen format. Can anyone else elaborate on the DVD?
shareI bought the original Elite version years ago but mine was defective (it froze halfway through) so I had to return it. I recently bought the new special edition from Synapse and found it to be roughly the same when it came to picture quality wise and special features. If you of the Elite version then I would just stick with that as it's not worth upgrading.

I am not aware of Elite version, but I got Synapse release, which is kinda remastered (it didn't help much, since movie is very cheap), it's in widescreen format. Sound is 2.0 Mono English, 5.1 DD and 2.0 French audio.
Bonus features are audio commentary, trailers, featurette, publicity photos and filmographies.
I know it's "6 years later" post, but hopefully it helps others who are interested in buying DVD and can't decide which version to pick up.
