Poor Carrie Fisher

saddled with wretchedly miscast low rent unconvincing male lead for the sake of a ham handed female transatlantic director writer team to recycle a pale formula. She is capable of so much better. Hope she was well accommodated on this euro jaunt because the result is a waste of high grade film stock and edit services.

And poor Rosanna Arquette as well. Perhaps even poor John Sessions, who is a good actor and a sometimes great comedian but not, I think, a romantic lead.
I'm afraid the two leading ladies were poorly served by the script, direction and final production. Which is a pity because whilst both are very watchable neither were fortunate enough to make enough good films over the years. It's just a pity that this is another where you wonder what might have been.
