What was w/ the girlfriends

Just rewatched this (due to having it on VHS) and just noticed the over acting on the friends part. Mainly the actress playing Gaby. When she is in School court yard and is trying to be obvious about yelling out to the other girls she goes 'One!!!! (others try to stop her) Twwwwoooo...' and I'm like why the big ol drama...relax chica.

Also the girl who played Marta's bestfriend was always being loud and obvious when trying to get Ramon to notice her friend. Funny thing is most girlfriends are truly like that but it was just a bit too much at certain points.
