who cryed or had a big grin on there face at the end of stella?????

I totally cried. I hated that Stella worked so hard in life for her daughter and couldn't even be a part of her wedding.

it was a great film it had a bit of everything like beaches it had every emotion great film who agrees????

I can't understand why Stella couldn't be a part of Jenny's wedding. Why couldn't Stella just change the way she dressed and acted and go to the wedding. I don't think she should have just dropped out of Jenny's life.

Yes the film has that bitter-sweet feel. I also felt that Stella dropping out of her life completely was REALLY severe,and kind of messed up, even possibly damaging ti her daughter. However, it also occurs to me that this is who Stella was as a character. She was extremely eccentric, and apparently couldn't change the nature of who she is. I guess she just had a loud, bright way about her thatshe couldn't be toned down. Still, there is nothing wrong with having two very different parents and enjoying the'best of both worlds'. What do you think?

Yea, A GUSHER here!! =)
It was sad that she wasn't at the wedding, but she gave all to her daughter and she was happy that Jenny was happy, that's what makes you cry, knowing that she gave Jenny "up" so to speak, for her happiness!!

I would be so angry if my mom gave up on me like that. I don't think it was nessesary, she could have just made her live there and still be in her life. It kinda hits home though, thats why I don't like it, except for my mom didn't totally give up on me.

I kept wishing that Jenny would see her mum stood outside watching her getting married. It was even more sad that Jenny didn't even know she was there. I agree that Stella should have gone to the wedding too.
