I saw this movie as it was released and loved it immediately, loved the setting in Hells Kitchen New York. The total talent on display in this film is really special. Thought Oldman as the wild brother was brilliant and intense. Robin Wright just is gorgeous and plays the sister of Ed And Gary, with Penn being the long lost love interest.

The soundtrack is masterful really.
The Saint Patrick's Day finale is really shot beautifully.

Phil Joanou's probably finest hour.

Did U2's music videos basically after that .

Followed State Of Grace with a huge stinker , being Final Analysis starring Bassinger , Gere And Thurman. Pretty darn awful!

Somehow, his career just fizzled away somehow.
