Remake? Does this finally give us the DVD?

There is news out today that a USA remake of "Stanno tutti bene (Everybody's Fine)" that is directed by Kirk Jones ("Waking Ned Devine" and "Nanny McPhee") and starring Robert DeNiro, Drew Barrymore, and Kate Beckinsale.

Could this mean that the USA and north american market (region 1) will finally see the original on DVD?

PLEASE?!?!?!?

(I said please.)

This and "Mediterraneo" are on are the two most desired and long overdue films that need to see DVD.....okay...ALL Italian cinema. But those two first.

WOW, I can't believe that this damned Hollywood industry must ruin every good movie.
Why remake??? Because Americans can't read subtitle???
It's a crime!
