How faithfull is it to the source material?

I really hope they didn't screw with story or the characters too much.

Source material? Please could you clarify your question.

I remember seeing this movie in the cinema when it released in the UK, unfortunately the DVD yet to reach the UK.

The video game. Where a bunch of Aliens ships are coming down and you shoot at them.

The game is called : Space Invader.
This movie is called : Spaced Invaders.

Not the same thing, good man. :)
