The Biggest Case of False Advertising in Movie History...

Well, almost.

I remember a friend's mother taking us to see this when we were in our early teens. I remember seeing the ads on TV, which had the aliens talking like the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, chanting "Toga! Toga!" and singing "Louie, Louie" when they're being chased by cops and making a constant stream of wisecracks...NONE of which were in the actual film! Sure, they were some funny lines here and there, but...that's just plain false advertising.

I had a similar experience. I remember the aliens saying something like "hey, how about a wet parka contest" to a lady in the TV trailer. the scene was in the film, but with entirely different dialog. A serious WTF moment when my bud & went to see it and ended up watching a kids movie.

That was terrible. I'm glad that vomit wasn't in the actual film.

I thought you were gonna complain about the movie not being based on the video game SPACE INVADERS.
