Agreed. I found this moderately entertaining, with a decent cast and an adequate premise. I set my expectations low for these B-grade horror films, but this was slightly better than most of the bargain-bin cheapies. 6/10 stars from me.

Yeah, gotta agree with the comments above. This was a nice little late-nite horror gem, a cut above your typically generic & bland horror fare. It isn't nearly as horrible as the premise would suggest, and that is what makes this movie all the more enjoyable. The special effects in particular are very well done for a movie such as this, astounding in fact, considering there's not a whole lot going on for it, as far as the story or plot devices. But I will say this: the film doesn't take itself too seriously, doesn't over-explain its own circumstances, nor comes off as embarrassing or poorly acted (the actors pretty much pulled off their individual characters). And as the OP pointed out, the movie actually moves right along and is pretty easy to follow for the most part.

This film really came across as being a mixture of both a horror-mystery, and a dark comedy, in many ways similar in style to other 80's horror films such as Creepshow, Sleepaway Camp, Fright Night, and An American Werewolf in London. If you enjoyed any of these movies, you should definitely give this movie a look. It is currently available on Netflix if anyone is interested in checking it out.

Other suggested viewing titles (lesser known, but also worth viewing): Phenomena aka Creepers, The Prowler, Curtains, Spellbinder (1988), The Entity, Nightmares (1983), Sorority House Massacre II, Pinocchio's Revenge.
