I agree, Xcalate_1776... the first time i saw this movie a few years ago, it was merely ´extremely weird´; however, with the passing of time and several self-discoveries which have heightened my senses, i can whole-heartedly say that Singapore Sling is indeed one of the most negative and depraved films ever. It´s clearly the director´s depiction of his own personal Hell...

Also an artistic masterpiece. Black and white has never looked so magnificent, which makes the depravity even more intense. I'm still in awe of this film.

Yeah, and I loved in.

See it on a double feature with a Japanese film called "Onibaba," watch that film first. It must have been some inspiration for this story, in some way.

Really? What company put out that double feature? I love both films and own them separately(Criterion and Synapse). Also, how do you figure inspiration came from Onibaba? : curious:

Criterion, I believe, put out "Onibaba" They are similar because they both involve an oversexed mother/daughter who like teaming up on random guys. In a way I was a little more shocked by "Onibaba" due to the fact that it's a way older movie and must have been to racy for America when it was made.
