How in the world have I gone this long in life not knowing that this movie exists. Im always scouring the "most disturbing" or "sick movies" lists, and I watch everything that sounds interesting to me, like The Isle. I read a woman shoves fish hooks into her...into herself, i see the movie. Anyway, This was a true delight! From beginning to end, I was enjoying myself. Its rare that I feel that particular joy during movies. I had that same feeling when watching 1989s Dr. Calagari (on shrooms) Had the same feeling when watching liquid sky, or sweet movie. This was a great movie!

Singapore Sling is one for the ages, that's for sure! For lovers of the depraved and the strange, it's one of the true masterpieces. =)

The few references to this film that exist often pigeon-hole it with transgressive film, but I would argue that it isn't. I would say it's more like handing the Marquis de Sade a camera and saying 'here....knock yourself out'.
