That house---so beautiful!

What I really loved about this movie was that beautiful cottage-type house that Kirstie's character lives in. So very "Better Homes and Gardens"! It really is inspiring to see a house that well-decorated! And, as the viewer, I can say that the house literally appeared to be submerged in nature, at times, with all the big windows and plants peering out from many a place. Real eye-candy!

I especially loved the ending, when Kirstie is standing outside talking to her husband, who had just "called" her. Because one really gets a sense of the set-up of the house, with the white outer "shell" type thing that looks akin to a picket fence. Anyway, I don't know all the decorative lingo that would properly describe the beauty I'm referring to, but I'm sure that anyone who remembers the movie knows what I mean.

As for the movie itself, I agree with those who consider it to be simplistic and slow in parts. But, to me, that equation is not synonymous with a bad film. In fact, I appreciate a good deal of simplicity. And, if the film appeals to my sense of beauty, I really, really appreciate it! I give high marks to a film for being visually beautiful and/or appealing. In fact, the visual beauty of a film is a prerequisite for me to even enjoy a film, and is probably just as important to me as the story itself! Anyone else agree?

"Moment by Moment" (1978), may be the most underrated movie ever! May be my fav! <3
