Little Gem of a Film!

I'm not sure why this movie didn't do better - it was really funny and touching. Bill Pullman is absolutely hysterical, the confused bumbler - brilliant. Ed O'Neal is really sweet as his responsible older brother.

People always complain that Hollywood "doesn't make movies like it used to," and when it does (playful, screwball romantic comedy) they get crappy reviews. Doesn't make sense.

By the way, the dialogue between the sisters (Kirstie Alley and Jami Gertz) is laugh out loud funny.

Why wish for the moon when we can have the stars?

Totally Agree, Marinas!
I saw this movie when it first came out, and I have always remembered it.
So funny. Especially when Kirstie decides to make love to Sam Elliott.
Bill Pullman is a crack-up, as an innocent drapes saleman...and it is
still funny!
Even today...
