Great chase scene!

I just watched this movie on HBO last night and I completely forgot how long the car chase scene is. Great stuff though.

Wow, just watched this for the first time. That's one of the best chase scenes I've ever seen.

why shoot the breeze about it, when you could be about it

Yeah, I just caught this movie on HBO myself and its VERY funny! When is the DVD comming out for this little gem of a movie? Coleman is so great in comedies! He`s one of my favz!

I am watching it on HBO right now. I'd never seen it before today. And I must agree, that it was a very good chase scene! If you look again, in almost every single shot, those cars were flying! They kept the speed up the entire time, which was a key element.

Uh huh, nothing like a good car chase, the rest of the movie was...meh. But if Burt wanted to die, he should have had the car facing the other way so the bad guys would have nailed him in the drivers door, duh.

One of the best chase scenes of all time! it was realy great seening Chrysler M-bodie cop cars (exept when they get shot at then they become Chevy Capreices!-Hollywood finally did something right!)

Gotta agree the car chase scene ranks up there with the one in "Bullit". I also thought it curious that in a scene from "Short Time", those two portly cops were watching "Stake Out" which also had a good car chase scene with Aidan Quinn's ruthless character at the wheel.

Dabney Coleman single handedly redefines the term 'hot pursuit' in this film.

This film, a comedy no less, features one of the most frantic, frenzied and hilarious car chases in screen history including Bullitt.

The sight of Dabney Coleman relentlessly pursuing those scumbags with a level of sheer determination that would make RoboCop envious will remain with me until the day I die lol.

All that's left of his car at the end of it all is the chassis, a seat and an engine lol.

If you expect the unexpected doesn't the unexpected then become the expected?

BEST car chase ever. In fact, this is one of the better comedies out there.
And Teri Garr is terrific.

Both Short Time and Stake Out were filmed in Vancouver, Canada.

Looks like it was lifted from French Connection, right down to weaving thru elevated train tracks.

I really don't get why that car chase scene is so great ...

The car chase scene is OK , but I say : watch the car chase scene in Ronin. Now _that_ is the real deal !!
