Did any one else notice this?

I practically busted out laughing when Sonja said that Ramona married a guy named Charlie and that he owned the chocolate factory. I was the only one in my German History class that laughed besides my proffesor. I thought it was funny, as was the part when Sonja pushed over her baby brother's buggy and ran away and then she and Robert did it to her sister when she was a baby. That was great. And also when she threw the fish they were going to have for lunch in the river because she said fish would rather be swimming.

I loved the film. I watched it in my International Film class and everyone laughed when she mentioned Charlie interiting the chocolate factory. It had a lot of really great moments like that, and the balance between things like that and the serious subject matter was great.

Yeah, the movie was great in using the whole real vs. sureal aspect. I think it's in my group of fave foreign films. What is crazy is that the woman who played Sonja did so the entire time, even when she was young. That was awesome.

I thought she was talking about Charlie Chan and the chocolate factory.

Nothing exists more beautifully than nothing.
