Silliness and South Africa TRC

This film is way to silly for my liking. Yes I can see that from a 1990 perspective the silliness may have been necessary to facilitate the introspection of a very unpleasant issue ... but that was 27 years ago.

Remarkably this film brought me to appreciate the brilliance of South Africa's Truth and Reconciliation Commission (TRC). The point being that it is very difficult for a society to fess up to massive skeletons in the closet when the tendency is to gloss over. In this respect this is a very successful film!
