Their Breath was visible...

Throughout much of the movie Rosencrantz and Guildenstern's breath was visible. Is that an accident of a very cold set, or does it have some sort of symbolism?

I think it represents Denmark being a cold place. That's all I've got on it.

It was almost always visible, and sometimes intentionally drawing. I don't know if it was symbolic of anything or just the circumstances of the location, but it did play into the coldness of the castle. Everything falling apart, rotting, broken, except when it gets magically restored.
