'The Rookie' Script

Word up. If the dialogue had not been so crappy, the heavy hitters (Clint, Raoul, etc) could have really pulled it off. The general themes could have worked, but the lines just all were completely flat and forced. I remember Mr. Eastwood's character looking in confusion at Charlie Sheen's character when he was trying to deliver the tough guy lines and he said, "You been practicin' that?" The whole movie felt like that. If you give these guys some decent lines, they have the gravity to make it work. Then again ... heh heh heh ... the writers may be best known for their brilliant work on Dusk Til Dawn, #2. Tee hee ...
