I just want to say that Sonia Braga is magnificent. This movie isn't very good but it's worth watching just for her. Which, now that I think about it, is mostly how her career has gone: a lot of movies that are only worth watching because she's in them. I don't know why it was important to say that. It just was. She's fantastic.

UPDATE: Yes, before you complain, I know she did The Milagro Beanfield War and Kiss of the Spider Woman. But overall, she's been in a lot of real crap, and she's still excellent.

Yes Sonia is sure one ugly puke but she plays a good villian. I enjoyed this flick.

I agree on the ugly comment, the only thing attractive about her is the hair, shave it off, & she's nothing to look at. The acting isn't that great either!!!

Sonia Braga was terribly wasted in this movie. If my memory serves me well, she utters her first line just until the last act of this crapfest!
Sonia is not only beautiful, she can really act. She shines not only in the movies you have mentioned, right now comes to my mind her performance in 'Dona Flor and Her Two Husbands', perhaps the best performance of her entire career.

To see Raúl Juliá and Sonia Braga together once again, reminded me two things: 1) What a magnificent movie is 'Kiss of the Spider Woman' where they both appeared. 2) How even the best actors without a good script are powerless.

I have the opposite opinion. I actually came to IMDB to check to see if she died from a drug overdose. She looks really really bad in this movie.

While you make a fair point, I was extremely confused as to why she went from being a silent, mysterious, lethal killer with deadly aim, to a hapless shot while being chased, seeking only to machine gun the dodgy airport lighting. Clearly, from what we had seen throughout the film, she wouldn't have missed a single shot.
