this board is full of positive comments about the mickey bit, i too always thought that scene stands out, burgess meredith have changed a lot in this from "rocky 3", i didn't notice that until now as these movies have run regularly on television, i think he passed on the same decade as this movie came out, and this is just three years before he co starred in "grumpy old men" (1993) and he looks so different in that role from the rocky days, i guess as long as you don't watch "rocky 3" and his appearance in this close together the flashback/dream scene in this works then. there's some mentioning on this board how this often gets skipped when they air the rocky franchise, i tell you a similar story then, i think this fifth instalment was skipped as a collection of action flicks including rocky 1-4 were released on vhs. you know what's really weird about this, "christmas vacation" (1989) airs on their television at home, this movie was perhaps shot in the same year? and it's already airing on tv? even if this was shot a year later it's still strange.
