It's on now...

I'm watchin' it on local tv (Fox 9 KMSP in St. Paul, MN). I never would've guessed this came out in 1990. Judging by the fashion/style of the movie I guessed 1987..since majority of everyone had frizzed/gelled metal hair. I became curious about the movie and wanted to find out what year it came out (since I don't have digital/satellite) I couldn't access the tv guide. So, I came online for the listings. I did however looked at the mother in the movie and the blonde hair guy and thought, Man...that looks like Thomas Dolby..but I could be wrong and to find out it was and the same for the mother.

IMO, a weird yet interesting movie..it's a good pass time.

I saw it last night at around 3 in the morning. At first it seemed like it wasn't going to be worth staying up for....it was. I loved it and I love the cover.

Evidently this stupid gem only plays in the wee hours of slumber. I'm watching it now myself at 4AM, and my first thought on seeing it for the first time was also that there is now way this is a 1990 production. It has a very FRIDAY THE 13th TV series vibe.

Stupid, but fun. A good trip back in time.

It's on This TV channel right now. I had never heard of it. You have to remember that Nirvana - Nevermind came out in 1991. They were the ones to really usher out the big hair look/sound.

Actually, the movie was made in 1988, but got shelved three years before being released on video and TV in 1990. So yes, the fashions and music are 80s. I just wish an official soundtrack was put out so I could redo my 15 song soundtrack with non-video rips.

It's showing on the new Comet TV channel now. (Comet TV is a digital broadcast network that airs as a subchannel in many cities. The channel launched in Oct. 2015. They focus on older sci-fi TV shows and movies, including many obscure programs.)
