Why RoboCain still alive (function) when RoboCop remove His Brain?

reply

I've wondered that too, I just assumed that although the brain was removed there was still enough signals left in the system to temporarily function.

Wayne Enterprises buys and sells companies like Stark Industries

If you notice Robocain doesn't stop functioning until Robocop smashes the brain. Meaning signals are still being transmitted to Cain.

I've always thought that Kane's mind, or rather a part of it, was still loaded in the system's RAM. After all, back on the Playstation 1, you could remove the game disc with the console on and what had already been loaded in RAM was still on the screen and you could move your game character around, but the minute you tried to access an area (or an internal menu) that had to be loaded from the disc, the system would crash...yeah, I know: it's very nerdy.

That's what I thought too. Good example BTW, I remember that detail about the PS1.

It's just an utter nonsense. Why would his brain have to be inside a cyber-body at all if it were wirelessly connected?

reply

It was a Bluetooth connection, not much range.

...then whoa, differences...

reply

Probably radio back in the late 80's, early 90's. actually. Pretty good range but terrible data transfer rate.

no offense.

Lol!!!!

I will tell you. Even though the brain was removed, his robot body was part machine, and the machine was searching for a signal coming from the brain. When it couldn't receive the signal that's when it stopped functioning.

Sometimes, you can unplug a Hard Disk Drive, but the computer still "works" for a time, until it tries to refresh or get new data fom the HDD... then crashes...

It was simply filmed this way in a rule-of-cool sorta way (i.e.: it doesn't make sense, but it looks hella cool on film)

Just the fact of Cain looking at his own brain getting crushed and pummeled by RoboCop and then slowly dramatically dying afterwards is hilarious. I just love that SPLOOSH! sound when RoboCop elbows the already splattered brain across the pavement, as if it needed yet another blow. That's one resilient brain!

Also makes you wonder the scenario where RoboCop goes all Teehee! and runs off with Cain's brain in his hands, then RoboCain following pursuit. Gimme back my brain!

But if you need technical reasons, go with what all the others above me posted. Seeing how RoboCain apparently does come with a remote control, albeit not functioning properly, there being some sort of (temporary) wireless connection between the brain housing apparatus and the robot body might be plausible I guess, in some way.

Fun post!

RoboCain: Gimme back my brain! 😈
RoboCop: Oh yeah? 😉 *puts the squeeze on it while running away* 😣
RoboCain: Mer-de-flem-de-fler-gen! 😨
