Anyone know where the ending was filmed?

I love this film. 10 out of 10.
Would love to know where they filmed Miryeas death and the building at the end with the huge mountain behind it. Just breathtaking!! And filmed so beautifully.
One of my top 10 movies!!
Thanks in advance!!

The film struck a chord with the OP, and so they rated it a 10 out of 10. It's not a 10 in my book, it's not a 10 in yours, but it's a 10 in theirs. There's nothing wrong with that. I'm sure we all have films in our rated list that would be considered to have too high a rating by someone else. It doesn't make any of us an idiot.

Besides, if you are going to call someone an idiot, you should at least learn to spell.

You should be nicer to people.

Miryea's death was filmed in two different locations for the interior. The ex convent of the nativity in the town of Tepoztlan was used for part of the scene, and the other part was filmed in the chapel of San Juan Bautista in Tlayacapan. both towns are very close to each other in the state of Morelos, which is South of Mexico City. The exterior was the chapel of Our Lady of the Remedies which sits what looks like a hill but in reality is a pyramid covered with dirt with the Popocateptl volcano rising behind it. The chapel is located in the town of Cholula. Hope this helps

You certainly have the details for the end sequence locations. I was wondering if you might know where the location was of Tibby's estate. The surrounding countryside is gorgeous as well with a mix of pine trees and rocky landscape. But the estate is gorgeous and I wondered if it was privately owned. That said, the film is hot, especially the jeep scene in the original cut. I can watch that many times over. Very, very sexy.

Tibbys estate was actually two different estates in Cuernavaca, which is South of Mexico City. It was owned by a friend of Anthony Quinn, who was a Government official in Mexico.
