The ending made this movie for me. I was expecting a Hollywood ending

where Costner kills Quinn and then saves Stowe from the whorehouse and they live happily after. That would have made this movie absolutely awful. But I was pleasantly surprised to see this movie having a dark ending. Brilliant, and a very underrated film.
