The First EVER Digital Production

This film was the absolute first film to both use the CAPS coloring system and with that system, help this film be the first digital production ever.

NO, I did not just find out about this, I know it all along, but I just wanted to point out that that's awesome about The Rescuers Down Under!

Who agrees?

I was only two when this came out, but my parents said that when they went to go see this in theaters the opening sequence almost gave them motion sickness, they had never seen anything like it! When I look at Rescuers Down Under now it seems more like a showcase of just where Disney was heading with their animation capabilities. I mean, the first 10 minutes takes what The Great Mouse Detective first introduced with the idea of free movement within animation and just exploded it into a new relm of possibilities. The fact that they could do all that and still attatch a great story to it has always made this movie a winner in my book.
