I used to...

I used to love this film as a kid. I probably watched it more than 30 times when I was young. But I've seen it recently and I can see that this is a horrible. I don't understand what went wrong. Leslie Nielson should be ashamed of himself. Some of the gags in the film are just so unfunny that it hurts. I was shocked when I re-watched it. I used to love all the jokes, and I would quote them all the time.

That happens all the time. There are several movies that I watched and loved when I was a kid, and then I watch them again now that I'm older and I realize how shitty they are. The great movies are the ones that you love when you're young and they're still good after you grow up and mature. Like the Princess Bride or Spaceballs for example

Sorry to hear that you lost your sense of humor. Hopefully it was just temporarily misplaced.

I found it flat, dull and bland when I saw it at 12 or so, and I haven't watched it since then, though once I actually thought of buying it - to complete the Exorcist collection, so to speak... I haven't done it, though - after all, I'm not buying the horrible Turkish ripoff of "Exorcist", "Seytan", either... and "Seytan" is probably more amusing than "Repossessed".

I dont think thats very nice Guy! Not every one has the same sense of humor :) I personal love the film (thought i havent watched it in years!

it can work the other way too, I HATED "its a wonderful life" but now i love it :)

P.s did any one else notice that Repossed was a kinda rip of, of the old exorcist movies? They didnt try and hide the fack either! I think the makers should be ashamed, and have the Copyright guys after them! Gee willipers!.....

I think that was the genral idea. It is a spoof/fake-sequel of The Exorcist. Notice all the nods towards it. Even the main character is played the posessed from the original film. I'm posting this while watching it for the first time ever on TV.

Linda Blair's character was changed to "Nancy" as an in-joke.

Get it? Nancy REAGAN.

This was one of my favourite movies from the ages of about 8 - 10. I re-watched it when I was about 16 and couldn't believe how dirty some of the jokes were that just went over my head as a kid.

Yeah it's crap, but I still hold a special place for it in my heart.

I sleep in a draw -I can't believe it's Not Ralph Wiggum

I use to see this all of the time when it was on TBS and on Comedy Central but they do not show movies like this anymore on TV it seems like. I loved cult classic movies that have no plot and you can just sit there and laugh at it you know.

Not as funny as I remember, but still some great moments!

I still love it! It's goofy and fun and it's nice to see comedy like that nowadays...well, in 1990! I must admit that a lot of the jokes were lost on me when I first saw it cos The Exorcist was still bannned in the UK at that time - but thankfully now that James Ferman has left the BBFC (and the joy of pirate video nasties!) it's way easier to understand the gags

This is true of a lot of movies like this, including the Police Academy movies. But just try to take it in context. Pretend it's a Tromaville movie.

Some people call it a Cul-de-sac. I call it a Dead End
