Most under-rated films of all time

This one is definitely on the list for me. What are some other titles you think fall into this category? Let's start a list!

Gets on my list too, one of my favourites without a doubt.

One more would be "Clockwise" starring Jon Cleese. It hass a similar feel to Quick Change and is also glaringly under-rated. Much better than "A Fish Called Wanda" that followed it.

Next?

"I don't agree with that in the workplace."

I just bought the DVD. This movie is amazing. It's classic Bill Murray, at his best. I wish he'd come back, and do a few more hits like this before retiring for good.

reply

Where did you buy it??

Used Cars

Probably in my top 5 funniest movies ever, and no one knows what I'm talking about whenever I bring it up!

reply

This movie is definitely an underrated comedy gem. So is "See No Evil, Hear No Evil".

reply

"BEER", "USED CARS", "KENTUCKY FRIED MOVIE", "ROADGAMES", "HOW I WON THE WAR", "FULLTIME KILLER"

NOW INTRODUCING: Yo, *beep* that *beep* name!
-"Brooklyn Zoo" - ODB

The Long Kiss Goodnight

reply

Do you mean the Long Kiss Goodbye?

reply

The Best Of Times, Taking Care Of Business

reply

It is sort of sad this film was overlooked at the time. Remember what came out the same day and went on to get 5 Oscar nods and win 2.

reply

Ugh, Silence of the Lambs?

reply

No, "Ghost". Saw both in the theater, but one at the second-run and the other twice, opening weekend and again with the star in attendance. Still excellent, 20 years later.

reply

Hardly "underrated." I would say, vastly "overrated."

reply

I totally agree. Maybe the original trailer sucked or it was not promoted and advertised properly but this is a GREAT film, period.
