LUMET'S UNDERRATED MASTERPIECE

Q & A is, in my opinion, Lumet's most underrated film. It is a hidden masterpiece that never got the praise it deserved. The story is pure Lumet, New York, crooked cop brilliance. The performances are top notch with Nolte giving a career best. Assante should have had an Oscar. The music by Rueben Blades is off putting at first but works. Everything about this film is powerful and brilliant. It is truly underrated.

Absolutely. Q&A is Lumet at his very best. One of the best cop thrillers of all time.

I feel it was his last great. So great, but, never shows up in the streaming outlets.

I agree; this is a great movie.

I think though that "Daniel" is even better and even more underrated.

There is another great thing about this film for women and non-straight men.

Armand Assante's Bobby Tex was the sexiest man I have ever seen in a movie.
