The much better version of this film!
Does anyone else think that Sidney Lumet (one of the greats) made this film again and much better in "Night falls on Manhattan"?
Armand Assante rocks though! Great (very much underrated) actor!

While I have to admit I love Night fall over Manhattan, Q&A is far better, at least in my humble opinion. Why you say? One thing: Nick Nolte. His performance is top notch, his racist irish cop is played closed to perfection. He sounds like a real cop and is such a delight to watch him utter those phrases.
Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying I agree at all with his racist views, I just enjoy what a great performance he gives.
Also the script depicts in a much better way the level of corruption in the legal sistem (that ending is priceless).
So Night is good, but Q&A is great. My two cents.

Not to detract from Andy's performance, but Nick is a tad more believable, as an Irishman.
Carpe Noctem
Nolte should have been nominated for the Oscar that year!
At least Assante got a Globe nod.

Enjoyed them both bur Q&A wins hands down due to the brilliant Nick Nolte.
