He's within a thousand yards of the shed and they give up?

That's not much more than half a mile, they probably could have narrowed down their suspects a little.

Adults in this movie are depicted as slow, stupid and technologically inept. It was no real surprise.

What *should* they have done? 1,000 yard radius is 10 football fields. That also means there target area is a circle 2,ooo yards in diameter. Of densely populated neighborhoods.

Now ask yourself this, should they have gotten search warrants for every house in a 2,000 yard circle and then searched every one? He's a pirate radio operator, not a serial killer.

reply

No but they could have at least figured out which students lived in that area.

reply

Yep, and with that list, they could have narrowed it down to one or two students after excluding anyone who hadn't moved to the area recently. They already knew the student doing the broadcasts was new to the area.

The school went through a list it is mentioned in a scene ones which have family as staff etc.

The thing is they would of looked at him and he was a top student with all his teachers givign him good reports also his fathers position as well you would never suspect him.

I know some will say but he also gives away details on the radio as if anyone would believe he is going to tell the truth they didnt take him serious until he started to really get the message across even then it was pass the blame to someone one else when the school head was the problem.

What? You expected logic from this crappy movie?
