DVD gets stuck

I have at least three copies of this movie. Two of them are plain DVDs and a third is a double-feature with another Christian Slater movie. On the two DVDs that are stand-alone movies, I bought these years apart, but the both have an issue with freezing up at the exact same spot, toward the end when he's walking to school and he picks up the newspaper off someone's lawn. Does anyone else have this problem?

He picks up the paper closer to half way through. Many DVDs have a slight pause where the disc switches layers (to show the second half of the movie). I also have two original copies and this didn't happen on mine. It may depend on the DVD player that you're using.

I was thinking it was closer to the end, but I'm sure you're right.

I don't remember if it was my DVD player or not. I'd have to check it out again with a different player.
