Keanu Reeves would be too old.
Gere was around 40 in 1990,just like Gosling is now.
Why not Gosling? He has everything to be modern day Edward Lewis.
He has looks,charisma,and he playes similiar characters before.
Gosling.... doesn't have that old man trapped in a young man's body thing that Gere can do.
Christian Bale can manage that bit - though I dunno if he can cover other bits as well as Gere.
Bradley Cooper is another possibility.
I consider Cooper-Lawrence possibility. Hey,they might be boring couple after so many times.
I don't think being 40 is old. It's middle age.
Bale is always safe bet since he is fantastic actor.
