Was it ever used against the Predator in this movie?

No. Why would it be ?

Why on this God's Green Earth would his blade just randomly show up in this movie?

It wouldn't be random at all. It would be done purposely. Paxton's character pulls a blade out on the train. It could be the movie used the same one out of necessity, or it could be just to see if hard-core fans of the franchise noticed it. Movies allude to other movies all the time, especially ones from the same series.

I loved Billy,he was so brave.
