Since she wasn't Shirley's sister-in-law until three years after 'Postcards' was cast, probably not.
Beatty was dating his 'Dick Tracy' costar Madonna at that time. He and Bening became a couple during the filming of 'Bugsy' (1991).
Too bad there isn't a website where you could look things like that up.
