I always thought it was the five WOMBS, not wounds.
I'm willing to accept that I've been wrong all these years, but I reckon having five wombs would be funnier than five wounds.
At least it would explain Brian's shocked reaction to the name when Charlie introduces him to the mother superior as such. Who's that shocked about five wounds?!
I always thought it was five wounds. Christ had basically five wounds, hands/wristsx2, feet/anklesx2, then the spear would in his side. I think it is funny because it would be an absolutely bizarre name to attach to a church/convent. They usually give them names with more positive connotations. Since Charlie introduced the name, I can't see him picking a name that had no religious significance at all. What would five wombs mean?
