Really wish scream factory would make a special edition blu ray

Its completely absurd this awesome movie isn't available on blu ray, its OOP and going for like $100 on ebay. Can we please get a quality company to get a hold of the rights and give us a special edition please?

Thats what i love about these high school girls, i get older they stay the same age.

I'm just watching the blu ray here in Australia with loads of extras

OP there's an Australian Blu Ray which has a few new features.

for now it's the best you'll get, and the quality is different then the OOP one.

Thats nice but i don't have a region free player, so that ones not an option for me really.

Still would be nice to have an american special edition release, like i said with scream factory with a cool slip cover and new restoration.

The Australian Blu-ray is region free so it should play in any player.

All the ones i see on ebay say region B.

that's what it says on the back of the cover, B

I'm watching the Austrailian Blu Ray by Umbrella right now on my PlayStation. It looks and sounds great. I picked it up from Amazon. Great addition to my horror collection.

As with the remastered Deep Red, it says region B on the package but it's actually region free.

I have a region free player where I have to adjust the region myself. I've tried Night of the Living Dead on both region A and B and it worked. People who have received it are also reporting that it plays on their A locked players and it is confirmed as being region free on Blu-ray.com.

All copies should be region free regardless of what any eBay listing states.

Well thats good to hear, i'll definitely pick up a copy pretty soon then, thanks for the info. How's the picture quality on it? I know on the oop blu ray everyone says the picture quality is sh!t and has a blue tint or something over it.

I just did the same thing to test it out and yeah it's region free.

picture quality is pretty good too!

I ordered the limited edition Umbrella double-feature package from JBHifi, an Aussie retailer, which has the original 1968 and the 1990 versions in one package. I received it in the mail today and tested it on my Region A player, and it most definitely works. I find it odd that they would print the packaging denoting it as Region B when it's not.

The picture quality is fantastic—way better than what I saw of the Twilight Time release screenshots. You can still get the 1990 standalone disc: https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv-shows/movies-tv-shows-on-sale/horror/night-of-the-living-dead/936252/

I live in New York, and it got here a week after I ordered it, so their shipping was pretty fast.

I paid $55 for it and there's no special features and two weeks later it was $20, but I think it's back up to over one hundred.

Just bought it in New Zealand on sale for NZ$15 (about US$10?).

Very cool, looks great.

Gonna listen to Tom's commentary now.
