Family member zombies

Why is it a problem for anyone in a zombie movie to kill a zombie family member? Why....WHYYYYYYY is this a problem, when family members have clearly turned, are walking TOWARDS YOU with the INTENT TO KILL YOU?

I know they have to add a layer to the movie with this, but geez. Hell, you ain't even gotta be a zombie and be a family member. You can be alive. Come at me crazy if you want to. We gone have problems.

Cooper's dumb ass. He's the antagonist of this movie. effing everything up, almost from the get go.

When we're thinking about our own brain, would that be a mental paradox??

Maybe because people don't want to believe it's so final, what if there's a cure?
In reality I think this would be a huge issue, to be honest I'd be a bit worried by people who have no issue with attacking a family member

reply

I'd drop my mom or dad in a heartbeat.

From their perspective Tommy, Judy Rose and Satchel didn't know there were zombies walking around. They knew Cooper's version of events, but he didn't believe they were dead people. They also would have been in mourning given Rege had only just died a short while before, so when they saw him get up and go after his own son that would have freaked them out pretty hard.

Makes it more dramatic for the movie

Am I the only one who thinks the old woman/zombie Barb killed near the end was her mother? She was who Barbara and her brother were going to see. In THAT graveyard. Her reaction just seemed more emotional.

reply

Yeah i don't think it was her mom. Would've been more decayed and would've had to get out of the coffin under all that soil. It may have reminded her of a loved one, but suggesting that one of the zombies from this movies could pull that off is illogical. They couldn't get through a door by themselves. Too weak.
