1/10, what a dumb pointless movie

Dumbest characters I've ever seen packed in a movie, boring, dull, stupid, what a waste of time, a shame on the genre.

Auch.

It is a tale told by an idiot, full of sound and fury, signifying nothing .

reply

It was really bad.

If this movie is a 1, then I wanna live in your world. It is easily deserving of a 6. You have not seen enough horror films.

Go watch more horror films. Right now, and then we shall reconvene afterwards.

reply

It's not nearly as good as the original but it isn't that bad. There are certainly a lot worse out there. I give it a 7/10.

I must admit I didn't get into it at all and found that Barbara character very annoying with all her screaming. I only gave it a 2.

reply

I thought Judy Rose's screaming was worse.

I still love it. Don't think it was boring at all. Makeup effects were perfect. Used to always watch this as a kid so I'm always gonna favor it. Couldn't get into the original. Besides, this was one of the first movies to tackle the concept of not needing to be bit in order to turn. Ben died of his gunshot wounds and still turned.

IT DOESNT MATTER WHAT YOU THINK...

not one of the first, the first to not explain why they came back to life,at all.later movies filled in with reasons and theories and causes. even in dawn of the dead the reason given by the swat guy was that hell was full lol

spectre can

suck it.

I disagree but your entitled to your opinion too. I actually had pretty low expectations for the film when I first watched it but was pleasantly surprised. The makeup and effects were much better than the original (yes I realize there's a 22 year difference between the original and remake) The original will always be the best but I really like the remake.

And sure you could argue that NOTLD didn't need to be remade but if anyone was going to direct it I'm glad it was Tom Savini. He understands the genre and did a great job modernizing the film while staying loyal to the original film.

Not to mention that this movie was also done to help the original creators make some money off the title seeing as they lost the copyright right away when it (the 1968 original) came out due to a title issue and never made what they deserved from it. It was in public domain. It was written by George Romero (a major plus), and directed by Tom Savini (also a major plus.) Strong casting, great soundtrack,... the only shame was the MPAA forcing them to make so many cuts to the gore.

They also shift some of the events around making it a fun watch for people who have seen the original... all in all, if you are going to do a remake this is the way to do it.
