underrated???

Yeah its a rear window/fright night ripoff and the film is a bit cheesy, but its a solid 80s horror flick. Im surprised the board is so dead and no one ever mentions it when 80s horror comes up.

It's not surprising, if no one saw it in the theaters. It grossed a little over $166.000.00 even in the 80s that was extremely bad, You also have to factor in marketing which isn't included in the production cost.

Even though it's low budget that figure probably didn't even come close to it breaking even, i don't remember this film, I'd seen it on HBO years ago and saw it for the first time tonight.

It was released 12 days before "Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade" which was releases May 24th.

If you go to the link on this films release year of 1989 you'll see all the films released in 1989 I'm not surprised no one saw this film. Here is the 1989 IMDb list of films released: http://imdb.to/n4Ln25

I didn't realize how much I went to the movies that year I saw a lot of the films on that list in the top 100 films of that year. That was a good year for movies just not this one.

Its not good enough to be underrated.

I find it to be quite a bit of fun, despite being such a Fright Night ripoff like you said.
