Motorcycle ride at the end

The audio cuts out a lot, but there are moments when dialogue is heard and not translated in the subtitles on the Criterion Blu-ray. Why is that?

Amazing cinematic experience, btw.

My guess is it couldn't be translated. I have no idea, was odd to me as well.

Come at the king, you best not miss.

Assuming what they say in the film is true, they said the mic was cutting out. They something along the lines of "It's very old equipment" and "The audio's cut out.. oh it's back." and things of that nature. I assume it was a real moment caught on tape and they ran with it in terms of filming and went with it's flaws as a sort of testament to the moment over the quality of it. I'd say for the times while it is annoying to hear audio cut out, it's still impressive. I wish personally they just captured a few important moments and then just played some music over the actual motorcycle ride, it seems the most important moments are before they get on and when they get flowers. The actual mid ride dialogue didn't seem as important or coherent since it cut out the most there.
