Navy SEAL MEMORIES

I own every single Michael Biehn film known to man. I simply think he's the most underated actor of all time. Anyways I just want to say that one of my favorites was Navy SEALS. Anybody here have any memories of it?

Examples:

Who were you with?

Where and When did you see it?

Did you like it hate it?

Do you watch this movie Ritualistically?

etc.

On a closing note I would just like to say that Michael Biehn NEEDS to be in the upcoming RAINBOW SIX movie. I can just see him playing an aging DELTA FORCE, SAS or SEAL TEAM SIX operative and unslinging a 12-Gauge Pump (just like HICKS) as he is going to lead his team into a room of terrorists! Oh YEZ! Oh YEZ! He's a total badass!

Anyways thanx for sharing your Navy SEAL Memories!

I dont remember wxactly when i first saw the movie but I do remeber i got it for chanukah when i was 8-11, not really sure when, and it sat on a shelf unopened for at least a year. Then I was sent to boarding school and one time I came home for summer break and deided to watch it and must have watched it almost every day that summer. Good times. Great now I gotta go buy the dvd.

i love this movie!!!!

favourite of all time.. saw it on hbo overseas on a holiday back in 2001 as they kept on repeating it even though i never really got to see the start of the movie... and it reminded me soo much of Tiberian Sun my favourite game in which Michael Beihn acted for the in gamne movies.. who i think rocks as an actor!!!

soo newayz after coming home to australia from overseas i went for a quest to search that movie but i couldnt find iot in stores.. .. so i kind of forget about it for about a 3 yrs...

but then im searching through my tv guide now in 2004 and then i see navy seals!!!! it was on at 11:00pm and i had school the next day sooo i taped the movie!!! and for the next couple of months i would watch the movie oer and over again... i decied to check if this movie is on dvd online and it is!!! but i culdnt buy it because i had no credit card!!!

but miraculesly (sorry i dont know how to spell!) i think a few months later nearing 2005 or mabye in 2005 in dont remember, i find it just on the dvd shelf at HMV!!! with light shining around it like it was meant to be there for me! i didnt have money soo i decided to go the following friday to buy it after school..

soo the following friday i go to the same hmv to the same place and find that the movie isnt there!!!! :'( i start panickin in my mind saying "where the *beep* is the movie!" and i frantically look all over the dvd movie section and i still couldnt find it.. at this pooint i was about to cry... but then i see a stack of dvd's under the cd section of the store and none and none other than NAVY SEALS is in tha pile!!!! i quickly get it and buy it asap!!! :)

NAVY SEALS ROCKS!!!! best, imo, movie ever!!!

My memories of Navy Seals, comes from getting to do two days of Featured extra work in the 2 Pentagon Scenes and getting to meet Michael Beihn, and a few months later, getting a Navy Seals Poster signed by him.

SEALS is of those great movies you slap on when your with your mates. As an adolescent boy it's one of your faves.

I first watched it with my mate Ben when I was about 13 I think. We were both Mike Biehn fans. It isn't exactly a well made film and the story is dry as a bone and hollow as a trunk. But the appeal of the film is the cast playing what is probably America's most famous and best loved special forces unit! We love seeing them bust into rooms wasting ragheads and jumping out of planes showing off all their cool gear and skills in the all American fashion.

It was a bit of a ritualistic thing watching SEALS. You always come back to it. I thought it was cool as a kid, I still appreciate it now in my mid 20's. It's a sentimental fave.

I can't seem to get any box office results on it tho, did it totally flop or have minimal success?

i love u guys! pop the brain grenades and keep em comin!

I am still waiting for my DVD in the post. I first saw this film when I was a kid about Eleven or twelve.
I was with my mates and we all loved it. Like a "Top Gun" but with navy seals. When your twelve this is a very important point of veiw.
So we all loved it.
I love the golf cart scene..it cracks me up even now when I look back at the "fasion" style of the early 90s.

Oh and when he gets shot....yeah
and when he's in the back of the merc chuckling to himself because he's on morphine. It's the attention to detail.

I loved it when I was twelve and I love it now!"
EAT THIS!!!!!
(no mater what happened in Alien 3.. Hicks lives!!!!)

reply

its like 10 times better than top gun. I didnt believe for one second tom cruise as a believable pilot. I believed that michael biehn however was close to a SEAL

reply

Well said that man!
I am not a fan of cruise.
I did like top gun but it paled into insignificance next to navy seals.
When I was a kid I loved them both though.

Hey I was twelve what did I know!!

I also regard Biehn as THE most underated actor of all time and watched this film forthe first time a few years ago because i spotted him on the cover. He was good not his best performance though. I liked this film alot though, everything apart from EVERY scene on the golf course. It had some funny moments the golf bit, but, my god, why.

BTW i think Biehns' best performance is as Dwayne Hicks

Shrimp and mild, shrimp and hot?

reply

No way. That's his best nice guy role but his best performance was as Coffee in THE ABYSS.

reply

Biehn is King of Kings

reply

CHASTAIN6 is the creepiest person I have ever come across on the internet. I hope Michael Biehn gets a restraining order before something bad happens.

reply

^^^^ Haha, just laughed my ass off at that- he is a bit 'enthusiastic'.

"Do I... Do I have to conduct with my penis?"

reply

I recorded it on my DVD Recorder on Saturday while it was showing on Channel 5 in the UK. I just liked Sheen and Biehn equally.

reply

i must of been pretty young when i first saw it and along with Universal soilder, Aliens and Predator where the first dvds i ever bought.

reply

Yeah I first saw it when I was about 12 taped it of the TV when it was late at night. Taped it cause Im also a big Michael Beihn fan and it was worth watching. And bought it on DVD for quite a good price.
OK movie.

reply

Anybody see this in theatres?

reply

[deleted]

Yeah, he was good as Coffey in The Abyss. And I think my personal favorite character of his is Hicks, but I have to say...he really outshone himself as Johnny Ringo in TOMBSTONE.

He was kick-ass.

first saw it three days ago. Enjoyed it. Spotted a lot of plot holes and technical problems but enjoyed it. The car chase was good and the battle scenes impressive.
I did laugh at one point as themusic sounded remarkably like A cue from Hot Shots, which is spoofing this kind of movie.

reply

Hot Shots came out a year after Navy SEALs and both movies had the same composer.....Sylvester Levay.
