Well, this film had its faults, but it was highly watchable, and shows the African landscapes and peoples to their advantage.

I really love it. Rafelson considers it his best film, too. Maybe it doesn't get much discussion because it was a flop at the box office, and because Rafelson's work (aside from Five Easy Pieces) isn't much talked about these days.
