I've been trying to find this everywhere and have had no luck. Who is the band in the dungeon? If it had been someone big they would have listed them, no? Anyhow, any help appreciated...even if you could just supply the song they played.
HOWEVER, this site has made a mistake as there are only 2 guitarists and a bassist in the scene. 3 of the 4 mentioned on the site are guitarists. Also, these are all white guys, while the bassist is clearly black, which leaves me to believe that the bassist is Randy Jackson, who btw isn't mentioned on the site at all. IMDB has a credit for him as Special Guest Appearance.
So my guess is then
Steve Bray Randy Jackson and a combination of 2 of the above guitarists
That scene has always been my favorite part of the movie. A few years ago, I tried desperately to get my band to cover that song. Since they didn't know what it was, I showed them my copy of the movie (well, jsut that scene anyway) and they were like..."Dude, NO." I was rather disappointed. Someday man, someday.
oh man that blows i guess it's one of those 'you had to be there' kinda things. not that any of us where there. but you know what i mean. god i miss the 90s.
* Aside from that, Mrs. Lincoln, did you enjoy the play?*
My God I am going to go insane if I can't hear that song or know the name of that band. I looked up The Dank and the name is used by some experimental jazz punk group so im lost.
Argh. I know! I want to hear it too!! It's been so long...
There's a MySpace page for 'Mother Goose Rock and Rhyme', someone should make a music page on MySpace and post the songs so we can hear them. That'd be lovely :)
He had me juggling teacups all night long. With tea in them!-TLU
I found it on the boards here. They really should make it into a 'music' page, then a music player could be used to play the soundtrack songs, if anyone had them...;)

if you're very desperate to see movie clips/listen to the dank, go to youtube- i found the dungeon scene dank video not under 'mother goose rock & rhyme' but there is a video called 'to the dungeons with you'.. i think the former leads you onto the latter enjoy
