Which version have you seen??

For almost 10 years, I've loved the shortened TV version (77 minutes) that is called "Rock n Rhymeland". Then about 2 years ago, I bought a new tape on amazon and I was so upset that so many things had changed.

For one, I always loved the music in the shortened version. And I think some of the scenes such as Mary Quite Contrary and Mother Hubbard in the full version were stupid.

INFO:

The Uncut and Made For TV Versions are VERY different.
Several edits and Changes were made both to the audio music and the video!
1-Parts of the movie play in a different order including mary lamb, little miss muffet and jack & jill in the made for TV Version
2-Mary Quite Contrary, Old Mother Hubbard have their entire scene removed in the made for TV Version and the man who introduces Old King Cole is also cut from the made for TV Version.
3-The Musical Score from the uncut version is completely different from the Musical Score for the made for TV version
4-Lyrics during the "Gordon Won't You Come Out And Play" dungeon metal band music scene with a bouncing ball matching the words to the lyrics appear in the made for TV Version, this does not occur in the uncut version
5-Completely different music during the uncut and made for tv versions for crooked man chase, itsy bitsy spider and cow jumped over the moon scenes scenes.
6-Alternative music mix for the Del Rubio Triplets opening "Hop To It" and Alternative Intro to Bobby Brown's "Three Blind Mice"
7-Music in the made for TV Version is almost never ending, there is almost always some sort of tune or sing-a-long playing non stop from beginning to end. The uncut version has many moments of non-musical parts.
9-The End Credits are completely different from both versions. The uncut version features an original song while the made for tv version features a longer version of Little Richards "Party With The King"

The made for TV version is better!!!! Look for it on Ebay, its called Rock n Rhymeland.

Thanks for the info. I love the version that I saw on The Disney Channel years ago, but wondered why Katey Segal (Mary Contrary) was left out; there was a promo on the channel that featured her. I didn't even know that Elayne Boosler (Mother Hubbard) had been in the program. I'll take the shorter version with all the music that I'm familiar with over the other.

I've only seen the version shown on the Disney Channel years ago when they actually showed good programs. I still have it on tape from the TV, although I did accidently tape over it for about 5 seconds in the middle of the film.

I downloaded the other version awhile ago, but have yet to sit down and watch it.
