Underrated gem

It's one of the most beautiful flicks I've ever seen.It runs slowly, but that's good. Finally a great movie about jazz many people can relate to.Great acting, direction & awesome message - simply beautiful.

I just got done watching it for the first time and wow what a gem. It is a bit slow but I liked it that way. Actually I could have done without all the plot heavy developments at the end. All of Spike Lees films have such great colors in them. For some reason his films remind me of 1989. You know, the Cosby Show and Arsenio Hall.

I'm so glad this film took place in present day instead of the 50's. It was much easier to relate too.

IT reminds you of 1989 BECAUSE IT WAS RELEASED IN 1990, and most of his films were done in the 80s or 90s.

This is definitely a high quality film, and the music is outstanding, especially the dreamy "out of left field" jam during the big ass whoopin'.

I haven't seen many Spike Lee movies, but each one I see makes me want to go get another one.

It's a great film, well-acted and very evocative of a specific time and place. And it's maybe the funniest movie Spike Lee ever made. Definitely underrated.

I used to be darker, then I got lighter, then I went dark again.
