What does it take to get this movie on DVD? - Mister Frost (1990) Discussion

I love this movie. I have it on VHS as I bought it at a video store that was having a clearance sale. I also nailed the big poster -- huge close up of Goldblum and all it says is "Jeff Goldblum - Mr. Frost."

Let's put it this way, it took years to get a special edition of The Fly on DVD so don't hold your breath for Mr. Frost. We could start a petition and ask Criterion to acquire the rights!!

Yeah, snail mail (emails usually accomplish little) to whichever company currently owns the rights might help give this a 'kick-start'.

It's available in Australia via Payless DVD for the mighty sum of $2.99
You see it frequently at Kmart, Big W and Sanity.

I wish they'd (finally) release it here, R1 - even if it was pan & scan (and I can't believe I'm even saying that...)

Go to Criterion and ask them to work on Satyajit Ray films, a good Kwaidan rerelease.

Like the original 'Stepfather', the rights for this one must be a real mess. Figures too, as they're two of my favorite films (The Stepfather and Mister Frost).

I think that Stepfather did eventually get a DVD release in the UK. I understand that there was a release of Mister Frost (Australia), though if it's out of print now or what I have no idea.

Go to Criterion and ask them to work on Satyajit Ray films, a good Kwaidan rerelease.
