Is this movie funny to anyone else?

Okay as a kid it was scary to me. Annie crazy rants are funny and Paul's facial expressions crack me up.

well yes there are clearly strong humorous elements in the movie but then other king films such as Dolores Claiborne even has some very dark humour even through the darkest moments, I dunno if its bates or the writing in both cases but there is humour.

It's a black comedy all the way.

Originality needs a reboot.

Totally agree. It's a psychological thriller laced with comedy. Annie's obsessive behavior and mood swings are comedy gold...she's just so deliciously over the top and keeps you bewildered with 'omg, for a moment she seemed like a normal person, but this bitch is CRAZY...and it makes you laugh at yourself at how you keep getting yanked but eh twists and turns. It's funny in the same way Carrie was funny...Piper Laurie was genius as Carrie's lunatic mother.

Hysterical! I laugh and laugh at the delivery of Annie's angry rants. Black comedy is a fantastic thing, that is a bit tricky to do correctly. Misery is a perfect example of black comedy mixed with horror and psychology.

It's a mixture of humor and terror. I wouldn't call it comedic though. I think the humor was intended to enhance Annie's frightening aspects. Sometimes she'd say things that were truly maniacal and we can't help but identify with Paul's "You've got to be kidding..." attitude.

Spotted dick, sir?

Black comedy is right. It's because of Annie's craziness that you have to laugh. One of the funniest (to me) is the pig named Misery.
