RIP Paul Gleason

Paul Gleason, who played slimy cop Lackley in Miami Blues has passed away at the age of 67. He was a great actor in countless films with Miami Blues being quite memorable. He will be missed.

One of those guys you think will always be there. I distinctly remember his performances in "Trading Places", "Johnny Be Good", and "Die Hard". He could do the quick-lipped, smart-aleck as good as anyone. Also, the sharp-edged guy with a position of authority.

Thanks for the info, and the tribute.

Plaul Gleason was great in his small role as vicious corrupt vice cop Frank Lackley. I was a big fan of Gleason and his consistently excellent work in so many memorable movies made throughout the 80's like "Trading Places" and "Die Hard."

Omg, I had no idea he had passed away! I really liked his one time role as Lou Powers on "The George Lopez Show." In my book, he'll be remembered best as the grumpy principal from "The Breakfast Club" & the slimy political agent in "Morgan Stewart's Coming Home." I also liked when he parodied his Breakfast Club role in "Not Another Teen Movie." RIP sir.
