This film was partly filmed in Chicago along with Baltimore. I recognized some of the locations from Chicago. Also the credits at the of the film list Chicago and the Chicago and Illinois Film commissions.

The IMDB information about the filming locations needs to be updated.

That is correct. Much of the filming was done in Plainfield, a town about 45 miles SE of Chicago.
